  • Royal Mint Silver Bars at BGASC

It’s unknown when the Royal Mint was founded, however, we do know that it’s around 1,100 years old. The Royal Mint is one of the most well-known mints on the planet. They create high-quality bullion products such as their Britannia series of coinage, and popular Royal Mint Silver Bars as well. Learn more about these Royal Mint Silver Bars at BGASC, right here.

    Britannia Minted Ingots

The Royal Mint is probably most popular for its Britannia line of silver and gold coins. These coins are issued annually and display the image of Britannia on the reverse. Britannia is an important figure in Great Britain as she’s seen as the female personification of the country. This popular image can also be seen on their silver minted ingots.

Their Britannia Silver Bars are available in sizes such as 10 oz and 100 oz and have a purity of .999 pure silver. The obverse side showcases a right-profile relief image of Britannia, holding her trident in one hand and her shield in the other hand. The background features a wave pattern to complete the design,

The reverse showcases identifying marks of the bar, such as the Royal Mint logo, metal content, and metal purity. Waves are also shown at the bottom of the bar.

    British Cast Silver Bars

The Royal Mint also offers a 1 Kilo British Cast Silver Bar for those looking for a simpler design. These bars, from top to bottom, display the Royal Mint logo, metal content, metal purity, and a unique serial number on obverse. Each reverse is intentionally blank.

These bars are shipped in sealed plastic and will arrive with an assay certificate, to authenticate the bar. Cast bars, from how they’re made, may feature unique textures, lines, and other striations that contribute to their uniqueness. All bars are created with a purity of .999 pure silver.

    Royal Celebration Bars

Another minted ingot option is the Royal Mint’s line of Royal Celebration Bars. These bars are enclosed in vinyl sleeves and are available in several sizes, with the 10 oz option being the largest.

These bars honor the ascension of King Charles III as the obverse side showcases King Charles III’s Royal cypher. This cypher features the initials CR along with the Roman numeral III. Also shown on the obverse is the imperial crown as well as the coat of arms of the Royal Mint.

Each reverse showcases the heraldic beasts accompanied by symbolic flowers that represent each constituent nation. The flowers shown are the rose, thistle, clover, and daffodil. These bars, unlike most, have a limited mintage.
