This 14 oz Chinese Gold Panda Coin (Random Year) comes sealed in mint plastic. Each of these bullion coins contain 1 oz of .999 fine gold and is stamped with its face value by China Gold Coin Inc. (CGCI) for the People’s Bank of China (the central bank of the People’s Republic of China). The year of the coin will be chosen at random from our available inventory. Coins dated 1982 – 2000 will have a 25 Yuan face value, and coins dated 2001 to present will have a 100 Yuan face value.
The obverse of this 1/4 oz gold coin features famous China landmark Beijing Temple of Heaven with Chinese inscription above the image reading, “People’s Republic of China” and the date of mintage. The reverse features the playful and familiar panda figure. Coin will either come in a protective coin flip or mint plastic. Chinese Gold Panda bullion coins were first issued in 1982 and continue with a new panda design every year.
