James Earle Frasers design for the Indian Head Penny Nickel is the source of inspiration for the visual design on the obverse face of the 1 oz Indian Skull Copper Round. It features the skull of a Native American chief in a right-facing portrait with his hair braided and a ceremonial hat over his head. There are text inscriptions featured around the primary visual design.

Reverse

The reverse of the 1 oz Indian Skull Copper Round features a frightening depiction of the US national emblem. Instead of featuring the heraldic eagle behind the shield, it features numerous snakes reaching out in various directions.
