The late Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II claims her usual spot on the obverse face of the 2022 1 oz Australian Gold Emu Coin. This is the sixth generation effigy which was designed by Jody Clark of the Royal Mint in 2015. The depiction is similar to older imageries of the Queen, but reveals her with slightly more shoulder room.

Reverse

The reverse face of the 2022 1 oz Australian Gold Emu Coin showcases the Australian Emu. It is the newest native specie to be graced with its own celebratory coin from the Perth Mint. The imagery has two individual designs engraved on the surface together. The first is a right profile portrait of the bird, highlighting its unique features, including its long neck. In the background, viewers will notice a full-body portrait of the bird.
