The design is flanked by two pillars of Hercules which feature the text inscriptions, PLVS VLTRA. A holographic security feature is also present which is surrounded by the inscriptions FELIPE VI REY DE ESPANA and 1 ONZA 999.9 ORO.

Reverse

The reverse face of the 2022 1 oz Reverse Proof Royal Spanish Mint Bull Gold Coin features a bull. It lifts on leg up as it gets ready to charge at its opponent which the viewer cannot see. The text inscriptions include, 1,5 EURO, TORO, and 2022, along with the crowned-M mint mark of Real Casa de la Moneda.
