This design includes a crowned shield that has a background of horizontal lines with a single star set at the center of the shield. The design element includes heraldic leopards supporting the shield and features a beaded border around the edge of the field.

Reverse

An African bush elephant is depicted on the reverse side of the 2023 1/25 oz Gold Elephant. This visual shows the head of the elephant in right-profile relief as it uses its long trunk to reach for leaves in the tree above its head.
