BGASC offers 2023 1/50 oz Somalia Gold Elephant Coins with either individual packaging or bulk packaging. Individual coins are in capsules, while multiples of 20 coins are housed in tubes. All coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.

Obverse

Somalias coat of arms is featured in the obverse design of the 2023 Somalia Gold Elephant Coin. This image shows the seal with its crowned shield supported by leopards on each side. The design also includes horizontal lines on the shield with a single star at the center.

Reverse

An African bush elephant is shown in the reverse face of the 2023 1/50 oz Gold Elephant Coin. The design shows the head of the bush elephant in right-profile relief with its trunk reaching for leaves in the tree overhead.

History

Since 2004, the African Wildlife Elephant Coins have been available on behalf of Somalia. The series has long featured gold and silver coins, with a platinum coin introduced in 2016. Starting in 2017, additional weights were added to the existing gold and silver collections.
