Obverse
On the obverse of 2023 Lunar Rabbit 1 oz Gold Coins, you will find a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here in the final design to grace Australian coins with the George IV State Diadem. The Queen is aged 89 in this portrait and it was designed in 2015 by Jody Clark. Inscriptions on this side include ELIZABETH II, AUSTRALIA, 1 OZ 9999 AU, and 100 DOLLARS.
Reverse
The reverse field of the 2023 Australian Lunar Rabbit Gold Coin is a depiction of a rabbit. This depiction of a single rabbit captures the carefree nature of the creature as it runs along almost leaping into the air as it does so. Inscriptions read RABBIT, 2023, the P mint mark of Perth Mint, and the Chinese symbol of a rabbit.
History
Ing Ing Jong is your sole designer for the Year of the Rabbit designs in 2023. Involved in Lunar Series designs since 2013, this year she created both the gold and silver designs, with her gold design featuring on the platinum coin as well.
