Obverse
In the obverse design of the 2023 British Platinum Britannia Coin, the mint offers the new portrait of King Charles III. This design from Martin Jennings shows King Charles III in left-profile relief and does not include a crown.
Reverse
For the reverse face of 2023 1 oz Platinum Britannia Coins, you will find Philip Nathans 1987 depiction of Britannia. This front-facing relief shows Britannia looking to her right at the trident she wields in her right hand. Her left hand clutches an olive branch and rests on a shield with the Union Jack.

British Platinum Britannias were introduced for the first time in 2018. The Royal Mint currently offers the platinum version of the Britannia bullion coins in 1 oz platinum and 1/10 oz platinum options.
