Walking Liberty is found on the obverse of all 2005 1 oz Silver Eagle Coins in the Monster Box. This design was created in 1916 for the US Half Dollar and was created by Adolph A. Weinman. The image shows the full-length figure of Liberty in left-profile relief walking with her right hand extended, her left hand clutching the branches of oak and laurel, and the American flag draped around her figure.

Reverse

An American bald eagle is shown in the reverse design of 2005 American Silver Eagle Coins. This image was created for this series in 1986 as a modern take on the historic heraldic eagle seal. John Mercanti created this design with its imposing bald eagle, sharp US national shield, and a cluster of 13 stars in a triangle above the eagles head.

History

American Silver Eagle Coins are produced by the US Mint each year to meet the demand of investors. The 2005 release came at a period in time when the average annual mintage for the coins was around 9 million.
