On the reverse side of the 2023 1 oz Gold Eagle Coin, you will find an all-new image of the bald eagle. Created in 2020 by Jennie Norris, this visual shows the head of the eagle in a close-up focus and left-profile relief.
History
The new reverse from Jennie Norris was introduced in mid-2021 as the United States Mint celebrated the 35th anniversary of both its Silver Eagle and Gold Eagle bullion coins. The new designs for each coin marked the start of a new generation for each collection.
