Designed in 2020 by Jennie Norris, this vision captures the head of the eagle in left-profile relief with layered details for its plumage and sharp features for its eyes and beak.
History
American Gold Eagle Coins originally featured a depiction of a family of bald eagles on the reverse. This design was created in 1986 by Miley Busiek and featured on the coins through mid-2021 when it was replaced by the design from Jennie Norris.
