In this case, Jody Clarks 2015 depiction of the Queen is the one that will grace coins for the last time in honor of the long-reigning monarch.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2023 1/10 oz Gold Kookaburra Coin, you will find a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This effigy depicts the monarch at the age of 89 with the George IV State Diadem on her head.
Reverse
The reverse side of the 2023 Australian Gold Kookaburra Coin comes with a depiction of two kookaburras. This design shows the two birds perched within the branches of a waratah plant opposite one another on the field.
History
The Australian Kookaburra Series started in 1990 with only a 1 oz silver coin available. In the decades since, weights such as 10 oz silver, 1 Kilo silver, 1/10 oz platinum, and 1/10 oz gold have all been added to the series.
