History

The 1995 release of Proof American Eagle Gold Coins saw the 1 oz gold coin finish third out of the four coins in terms of mintage. The 1/10 oz gold coin had a significantly higher mintage, while the 1/2 oz gold was the only weight to be outsold by the 1 oz gold coin.
