History
The 2023 release of British Gold Britannias included an early, limited release with Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse for one final time. This gave the Royal Mint time to finalize a portrait of King Charles III, who now rises to appear on the coins of the Britannia for the remainder of 2023.
