History

While their headquarters are located in Mexico City, since 1983, coins from the Mint of Mexico are only produced in San Luis Potosi. La Casa de Moneda de Mxico is the oldest mint in the Americas as they were established in 1535. They now serve in conjunction with the Bank of Mexico.
