History
The introduction of Burnished American Silver Eagles in 2006 marked a significant milestone for this beloved series, coinciding with its 20th anniversary. The Mint temporarily halted the production of Burnished versions in 2009 and 2010, redirecting their focus to BU coins due to the housing crisis. In 2021, a fresh design by Emily Damstra featuring a majestic flying eagle was unveiled. Only Burnished versions were released in the latter half of that year.
