1900 Morgan Silver Dollar Coin NGC MS63
Product Description
The story of the original Morgan Dollar, an iconic American collectible coin, is inseparable from the captivating legend of the Wild West frontier. Struck from 1878 to 1904, this coin garnered popularity among avid collectors for its generous size, substantial silver content, and distinctive visual appeal. Crafted by the skilled Assistant Engraver George T. Morgan, its rarity has progressively increased over time due to the effects of circulation wear and the deliberate melting down of coins to recover their valuable metal components. Today, BGASC offers you 1900 Morgan Silver Dollar Coins for purchase online in certified condition.

Obverse
The obverse side of each 1900 Morgan Dollar coin exhibits an exquisite left-profile depiction of Lady Liberty. George T. Morgan collaborated closely with Anna Willess Williams, engaging in multiple portrait sessions to capture Liberty’s essence flawlessly. Encircling her head are 13 stars, signifying the original colonies, while the year of minting is elegantly positioned at the base of Liberty’s bust.
Reverse
On the flip side of each 1900 Morgan Silver Dollar, one can admire the majestic portrayal of the heraldic eagle, an emblematic representation of the United States. The eagle firmly clutches arrows in one talon, symbolizing the nation’s ability to protect itself, and an olive branch in the other, signifying a desire for harmony. Prominently inscribed on the reverse are the words “United States of America” and the coin’s denomination.
History
Morgan Silver Dollars were issued by a total of five branch mints during the programs history. Philadelphia and San Francisco issued the coins every year from 1878 to 1904 and again in 1921. The New Orleans Mint missed only the 1878 and 1921 date marks. The Carson City Mint issued the coins from 1878 to 1885 and again from 1889 to 1893. The Denver Mint struck the coins once in 1921.
