History

Jane Seymour played a significant role in Henry VIII’s quest for a male heir. She became queen consort in 1536 and less than a year later, on October 12, 1537, she gave birth to their son Edward. Sadly, Jane Seymour passed away just twelve days after the birth due to complications arising from childbirth.
