The obverse and reverse of the 2 oz Original Sin Silver Stackables depict a snake slithering through a garden of flowers, wrapped around an apple with a bite taken out of it. These stackables feature a unique domed effect on the obverse, allowing for easy stacking.

History

This stackable represents the concept of original sin, a central teaching in traditional Christian belief as described in the Old Testament book of Genesis. According to the story, Adam and Eve were the first humans who resided in the Garden of Eden. Adam’s act of taking a bite from the forbidden fruit symbolized his disobedience toward God and led to the passing of sin to his descendants.

In the story, the snake is portrayed as a symbol of evil, manipulating Adam into eating the apple. Consequently, God banishes Adam and Eve from the garden. The serpent is also punished, cursed to crawl on its belly and eat dust.
