For the reverse of Morgan Silver Dollar Coins an American eagle is depicted. As it carries arrows and an olive branch in its talons, this majestic bird opens its wings and faces toward the left. History

The United States Mint struck the Morgan Silver Dollar initially between 1878-1904. When silver from the Sherman Silver Purchase Act dried up, the production of the coin ceased for nearly two decades. The coin then returned briefly in 1921 before being replaced by the Peace Dollar.
