History

The Mexican Silver Libertads have been released every year since their debut in 1982. In 11 out of the 12 years of the coin program, over 1 million 1 oz coins were produced. As the first annual silver bullion coin, it holds a special place in the hearts of collectors. The program expanded in 1991 with the introduction of fractional ounces, including a 2 oz and 5 oz version that joined in 1996.
