History

The 1893 release of $5 Liberty Gold Half Eagles was mostly produced by the Philadelphia Mint, making more than 1.5 million coins. San Francisco followed with 224,000 coins, while Carson City issued the fewest at just 60,000 coins in its final year of operation.
