Although Lunar Series I gold coins started in 1996, the silver coins were introduced in 1999 with the Year of the Rabbit, making the Year of the Snake release the third in the silver series.

Obverse

The obverse of the 2001 Australian Silver Lunar Snake Coin features a profile of Queen Elizabeth II. This elegant portrayal, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley in 1998, showcases the Queen wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara.

Reverse
