Each 2024 1 oz South Korean Zi:Sin Draco Gold Medal from BGASC is delivered in an acrylic capsule and is in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. With only 300 medals available, this is the eighth release in the popular Zi:Sin Series.

Obverse

The obverse of the 2024 South Korean Zi:Sin Draco Gold Medal features the image of Doggaebi. This creature is shown on the shield of Chiwoo Cheonwang, the God of War, who used Doggaebis image to intimidate his foes. Known for its ability to ward off evil spirits, the hobgoblin-like Doggaebi was often hung from rooftops in Korea to protect homes.

Reverse

On the reverse side of the 2024 1 oz Zi:Sin Draco Gold Medal, Draco is depicted in flight. The image shows Draco in the form of a warrior, seated on the back of a dragon, drawing an arrow with his bow as they soar through the sky.

History

The 12 guardians consist of various animals, including the Azure Dragon (Chung-ryong), White Tiger (Baekho), Black Tortoise (Hyeonmu), and Vermilion Bird (Jujak), among others. As the guardian of the eastern direction, Draco (the Azure Dragon) is tasked with protecting the country from threats originating from that direction.
