Even though the silver coins started being minted a year later in 1997, the series was extended to 2010 to complete the 12-coin set and match the Zodiac cycle.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2007 Australian Silver Lunar Pig features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This image, created by Ian Rank-Broadley in 1998, depicts the Queen in right-profile relief wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. This was the fourth official portrait of the Queen during her reign.
Reverse
The reverse design of the 2007 1/2 oz Silver Lunar Pig Coin shows a small pig. The pig is depicted standing on all fours in right-profile relief with a small pile of leaves beneath its feet.
History
