Reverse
The reverse design showcases a modern interpretation of St. George on horseback. It depicts a rider without armor, brandishing a sword as he confronts a dragon, offering a fresh take on the classic St. George image.
History
In 1970, the Perth Mint became an operationally independent entity after the British parliament abolished the Perth branch of the British Royal Mint. Ownership was transferred to the Government of Western Australia.
