History

The British Gold Britannia Series began in 1987 with 22-karat gold coins. For the series’ 10th anniversary, the Royal Mint introduced silver coins. By 2013, the gold coins were upgraded to .9999 purity. These coins have traditionally featured the current British monarch, making these the first to showcase King Charles III.
