History
Introduced in 1921, the Peace Silver Dollar replaced the Morgan Silver Dollar and was designed by Anthony de Francisci, who was one of the youngest and least experienced participants in the national contest. The coin was originally struck from 1921 to 1934 at the Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Denver Mints, making it a significant part of American numismatic history.
