History
First minted in 1804, the Silver Dollar was intermittently issued with real silver until 1970. The Morgan Silver Dollar and the Peace Silver Dollar are the most celebrated designs, with the Morgan Dollar minted from 1878 to 1921 and the Peace Dollar from 1921 to 1935. In 2021, the US Mint reintroduced both designs as silver bullion options.
