Reverse

The reverse side of the 2025 1/10 oz Gold Philharmonic features a group of musical instruments that represent Austrias rich musical legacy. In the center is a cello, flanked by two violins. A French horn, a bassoon, and a harp are positioned in the background, forming a well-balanced design that has remained consistent throughout the Philharmonic series.

History

The Musikverein itself is known worldwide for its remarkable acoustics and grandeur. Designed by Theophil Hansen and completed in 1870, the concert hall has hosted the Vienna Philharmonic for over 150 years. The organ depicted is the third version installed in the building, with the latest installed in 2011.
