Reverse

History

The reverse design of the coin shows the Giant Panda with its recognizable black-and-white fur pattern. With black markings around its eyes, ears, and limbs, and a white body, the pandas look is one of natures most memorable. Scientists often refer to this type of coloring as “reverse countershading,” a unique feature that has sparked much research.
