Reverse
The reverse of the 2019 Kiangnan Dragon Gold Coin includes Chinese characters originally used on the 1904 silver dollar. While the design mirrors the past, the rim features modern laser-etched markings noting the year of issue, weight, and purity of the restrike.

The Kiangnan dragon comes from southern Chinas Jiangnan region, an area filled with rivers and farmland. This dragon is different from the imperial dragon of the north.
