Since 1986, the American Silver Eagle has been a staple of the United States Mints bullion program. For decades, the coin stayed consistent in designuntil 2024, when the Mint launched a new version featuring a special privy mark on a Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) coin. The 2024 Star Privy was the first of its kind. Now, the 2025 release carries forward that concept with an all-new Eagle Privy. Obverse
The obverse carries the timeless Walking Liberty design created by Adolph A. Weinman in 1916. Lady Liberty strides toward the sunrise, cloaked in the American flag, with the 2025 Eagle Privy placed in the lower-right field. The eaglelong a national symbolcontinues to represent strength and freedom throughout American history.
Reverse
On the reverse, youll see the modern bald eagle design by Emily Damstra, which debuted in 2021. This version presents the eagle in motion, grasping an oak branch with wings rising high. Its a dynamic, detailed image that highlights the birds lasting role in American identity.
History
Collectors welcomed the first BU privy-marked Silver Eagle in 2024, and this second installment adds another unique chapter to the series.
