The 2025 2 x 1 oz Germania Beasts Gullinbursti Silver Geminus Set comes with two 1 oz silver rounds. The obverse side of each round displays yellow gold in the background and ruthenium plating on the beast’s head. The reverse switches the finishes, placing yellow gold on the body and ruthenium plating on the background.

Design

Both the obverse and reverse of the 2025 Germania Beasts Gullinbursti Silver Round work together to create a detailed side view of Gullinbursti. Mythical accounts describe Gullinbursti with shining golden bristles, ember-bright eyes, and bronze hooves that sparked when they hit the ground. His tusks were described as ivory-white but strong enough to defeat any enemy.

History

In Norse legends, Gullinbursti was one of Freyrs prized creations, symbolizing fertility, protection, and abundance. The magical boar would pull Freyrs chariot across the different worlds, serving as both transport and loyal guardian. Gullinburstis existence shows the skill of the dwarves, who were able to create living beings with unmatched craftsmanship.
