Product Description
The Canadian Gold Maple Leaf is one of the longest-running gold bullion coins, first introduced by the Royal Canadian Mint in 1979. It is widely known for its .9999 fine gold purity, which helped set a high standard for bullion coins around the world. Over time, the series has also become known for its built-in security features, including precise radial lines and a micro-engraved maple leaf. These elements help protect against counterfeiting. Each coin is also packaged with MintID technology, offering an easy way to confirm authenticity. Currently, 2026 1 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Coins in MintID cards are available at BGASC.

Obverse
On the obverse of the 2026 Canadian Gold Maple Leaf, you will see the first-generation image of King Charles III used on Canadian coins. The portrait shows His Majesty in left-profile view without a crown. Designed by Canadian artist Steven Rosati, it is one of the rare instances where a Canadian artist created the monarchs portrait for the nations currency.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2026 1 oz Gold Maple Leaf Coin displays the familiar sugar maple leaf created by Walter Ott. This design has been used since the beginning of the series in 1979 and continues to appear across all weights and versions. It is also featured on Maple Leaf coins struck in silver, platinum, and palladium.
History
To verify your coin using the MintID app, you will need to enable NFC scanning on your device. After turning on this feature, open the app and follow the prompts to complete the process. The app is designed to work without collecting personal information, allowing for a simple and secure authentication experience.
