After acquiring the gold and silver refiners of Johnson Matthey in 2015, they’ve quickly become a top name in the industry with their Silver Bars and rounds. With locations in Utah, Florida, Japan, and Canada, Asahi has a global presence making them one of the more recognizable names now in the industry. American Reserve Series

One of the more popular silver bar lines on the market is the American Reserve Series from Asahi. The American Reserve Series consists of a 1 oz silver round and a 10 oz silver bar.

The 10 oz silver bar in the American Reserve collection is a minted ingot made from .999 pure silver that is individually mint-sealed in plastic. These bars are 100% mined and refined in the United States and feature popular American imagery on the bar itself.

The obverse of the 10 oz American Reserve Silver Bar features the American Reserve logo along with identifying marks of the bar, such as the metal content, purity, and Asahi logo. The reverse side features the powerful image of an American bald eagle. The eagle is seen in front-facing relief, perched on a branch, looking to its right. The top of the bar bears the inscription “Mined & Made in America.”

    Minted Ingots

Asahi also has a collection of other minted ingots, outside of their American Reserve Series. These minted ingots are typically in smaller sizes, such as 1 oz and 10 oz, and are made from .999 pure silver. Bars are individually available in mint-sealed plastic; however, the 1 oz silver bar is also available in a bulk option of a sealed tube of 20 bars.

These bars feature the identifying marks of the bar, such as the Asahi logo, metal content, and purity on the obverse. The reverse of each minted ingot from Asahi showcases a repeating pattern of the Asahi logo.

    Cast Bars

Along with their array of minted ingots, Asahi also creates high-quality cast bars. These bars are available in larger sizes, such as 100 oz of .999 pure silver. Asahi has a few different options, with each individually wrapped before being shipped to avoid being damaged.

Their standard option showcases identifying marks of the bar, such as the metal content, purity, and an assay mark on the obverse. The reverse is intentionally left blank.

Another option is their Florida Silver Bar. These bars are made in Asahi’s Florida facility and will display the identifying marks as well as the word “Florida” on the obverse.
