History

Pennsylvania first required citizens to display a plate back in 1903. This consisted of residents creating their own plates to display. The state started issuing them to the public just a few years later in 1906. While the Pennsylvania plate has seen some design changes over the years, the design showcased on this silver bar has gone largely unchanged since 1999.
