Design

On the obverse, youll see the Gold Standard Corporations logo. Founded in 1977 by Conrad J. Braun in Kansas City, this brand is clearly marked alongside a unique serial number. Additional markings show the weight, purity, and metal type. The back side of the bar is left blank.

History

Pressed bars, also known as minted bars, are made with solid blanks of silver. These blanks are shaped ahead of time and then placed into a stamping machine with a custom die. The die presses the design onto the surface, creating a finished look. This method provides greater detail and a cleaner appearance. Because the silver isnt melted in the process, its also typically less expensive than casting.
