History

The 1882 Morgan Silver Dollar saw a large mintage across several U.S. Mint locations. Philadelphia led production with 11.1 million coins, followed by 9.25 million coins from San Francisco, and 6.09 million from the New Orleans Mint. The Carson City Mint also contributed 1.133 million coins to the year’s total.
