The obverse side of the 1904-O Silver Dollar Coin showcases George T. Morgan’s masterful depiction of Lady Liberty. Inspired by the likeness of schoolteacher Anna Williams, this portrayal captures Liberty in an elegant left-profile relief, crowned with a Phrygian cap. Inscriptions read E PLURIBUS UNUM, and 1904.

On the reverse side of the 1904-O Morgan Dollar Coin, George T. Morgan’s artistic genius shines through once more with a captivating heraldic eagle design. This representation presents an eagle in a commanding front-facing pose, clutching an olive branch and three arrows. Inscriptions include IN GOD WE TRUST, O, ONE DOLLAR, and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Spanning the years from 1878 to 1904, the Morgan Silver Dollar Coins were an annual tradition, followed by a brief return in 1921 and then in 2021. The coins in this collection are a testament to the historical New Orleans Mint, where they were minted from 1879 to 1904. The intricate designs were conceptualized by George T. Morgan, the accomplished former Chief Engraver of the US Mint, lending these coins their eponymous name.
