Reverse
The reverse of the 1925 Peace Silver Dollar shows an American bald eagle perched on a rock. Holding an olive branch in its talons, the eagle gazes into the distance with rays of sunlight emerging behind it. This design conveys strength and hope for peace.
History
The Peace Silver Dollar was the final silver dollar produced for circulation in the United States. Designed by Anthony de Francisci, the coin features symbolic artwork of peace and liberty. Of the nearly 12 million 1925 Peace Dollars produced, over 10 million were struck at the Philadelphia Mint.
