All 2010 1 oz Canadian Platinum Maple Leaf Coins arrive in protective plastic flips. The Platinum Maple Leaf series began in 1988 with both 1 oz and fractional-ounce options available. Annual production continued until 1999, followed by a one-time release in 2002. Starting in 2009, the Royal Canadian Mint has limited the series to the 1 oz coin only.

Obverse

On the obverse of the 2010 Canadian Platinum Maple Leaf, Queen Elizabeth II appears in right-profile relief. This image is the fourth official portrait of Her Majesty, designed by Susanna Blunt in 2003, and shows her without a crown.

Reverse

The reverse of the 2010 1 oz Platinum Maple Leaf displays the sugar maple leaf design created by Walter Ott in 1979. This depiction has been featured on all Maple Leaf bullion coins since its debut.
