Each 2013 1 oz Australian Silver Kookaburra Snake Privy Coin arrives in a plastic capsule to keep it protected. This coin was part of the Perth Mints Lunar Privy series, and only 50,000 were produced. The mint announced the series had completely sold out following its release.
Obverse
On the obverse of the coin, youll find a right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This image was created by artist Ian Rank-Broadley in 1998 and shows the Queen wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. It was widely used on Australian coins during her time on the throne.
Reverse
The reverse side shows a pair of kookaburras perched on a tree branch. Youll also notice a small snake-shaped privy mark on this side, which ties the coin to the Year of the Water Snake.
