The obverse design of the 2017 Reverse Proof Mexican Silver Libertad showcases the Mexican coat of arms, featuring a golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus with a snake in its talons. Surrounding this design, you’ll find ten historic versions of the seal dating as far back as 1524.

Reverse

On the reverse side of the 2017 2 oz Reverse Proof Silver Libertad, you’ll find the image of Winged Victory, symbolizing Mexican resistance and victory during the nation’s war of independence. Victory is depicted in a three-quarter profile, holding a laurel wreath in one hand and broken chains in the other.
