Obverse

On the obverse of the 2019 1.5 oz Bottlenose Dolphin Silver Coin, youll see Queen Elizabeth II in her final portrait used on Australian coinage. This right-facing design, created by Jody Clark in 2015, shows the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem and first appeared on Perth Mint coins in 2018.

Reverse

The reverse features a scene of two bottlenose dolphins leaping out of the water. These creatures typically move in groups and use coordinated strategies to hunt fish. One behavior seen in parts of the South Pacific is mud ring feeding, where dolphins stir up mud to trap fish inside a circular area.
