Reverse

John Mercanti’s heraldic eagle design is on the reverse of 2020-W 1 oz Proof American Silver Eagle Coins. This design was modernized in 1986 for the US Mint to feature on the Silver Eagles.

History

The V75 Privy Proof Silver Eagles honor the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II, with a limited mintage of 75,000 coins. Both the silver and gold releases share the same special privy mark design on the obverse, shaped like the Rainbow Pool. Originally built in the 1920s in Washington D.C., the Rainbow Pool became part of the National World War II Memorial in the early 2000s.
