History

The Mexican Gold Libertad series initially launched in 1981 with 1/4 oz, 1/2 oz, and 1 oz coin options. After a pause, it resumed again in 1991 with the addition of 1/10 oz and 1/20 oz weights. Since 2002, all five sizes have been annually released every year, except for 2012.
