On the obverse side of the coin, youll find a portrait of King Charles III. This design was created by Dan Thorne in 2024 and shows the King in profile without a crown, making it one of the first official Australian coins to carry his image.
Reverse
The reverse captures the image of a kookaburra resting quietly on a thin branch. With the sun rising behind it, the bird looks over its shoulder in a calm and thoughtful pose. The artwork marks the milestone anniversary with a soft and elegant design.
