Product Description

Since its introduction, the Canadian Maple Leaf Series has been a fundamental part of the Royal Canadian Mint’s offerings. The series started with gold coins in 1979 and expanded to silver in 1988, with each coin proudly featuring the iconic sugar maple leaf on the reverse. Additionally, the Royal Canadian Mint has produced limited-edition privy-marked coins within this series, providing collectors with unique options. Currently, the 2025 1/10 oz Canadian Gold Treasured Maple Leaf Polar Bear Privy Coins are available online from BGASC.

Highlights:

  • Coins arrive inside capsules within a sealed assay card!
  • Special Polar Bear privy mark!
  • Limited mintage of only 5,000 coins!
  • Contains 1/10 Troy oz of .9999 pure gold.
  • Issued a face value of $5 (CAD) by Canada.
  • Obverse depicts His Majesty King Charles III.
  • Reverse includes the sugar maple with a Polar Bear privy.

These 2025 1/10 oz Canadian Gold Treasured Maple Leaf Polar Bear Privy Coins are available in capsules and are sealed within a Royal Canadian Mint assay card. This card ensures the authenticity of each coin’s identifying features.

Obverse

The obverse side of the 2025 1/10 oz Gold Treasured Maple Leaf Coins features His Majesty King Charles III. This is the first portrait of King Charles III on Royal Canadian Mint coins, created by Canadian artist Steven Rosati in 2024. The effigy shows King Charles III in a left-facing profile, without a crown.

Reverse

On the reverse, the 2025 Canadian Gold Treasured Maple Leaf Polar Bear Privy Coins highlight Walter Otts classic design of the sugar maple leaf. Accompanying this design is a distinctive privy mark of two polar bears nuzzling together, which adds a delightful touch.

History

Polar bears are primarily carnivorous, specializing as hunters of marine mammals like seals. They can detect a seal’s breathing hole from nearly a mile away, waiting patiently for hours while conserving energy until their prey surfaces.
